campus

Founded in 1860, LSU is a public coeducational university located in Baton Rouge, Louisiana. The university enrolls more than 24,000 undergraduate students and more than 5,000 graduate students every year, and fields 21 varsity sports teams that compete in the NCAA Southeastern Conference (SEC). LSU houses 16 different colleges and schools that offer more than 235 academic programs as a nationally ranked Tier 1 institute of higher education, as well as 350+ active student organizations to get involved with.

The 2,000+ acre campus is filled with majestic oak trees and stunning italian renaissance architecture. Our mascot is the tiger, represented by a live Bengal/Siberian-mix tiger named Mike who lives in a state-of-the-art habitat on campus. And our colors are Purple and Gold.

LSU has a dedicated Admissions Counselor and Advisor for the Washington DC, Maryland, and Virginia metropolitan area. If you have questions about the university, admissions, financial aid, scholarships, or anything else, please contact Brandon Guillory at bguil24@lsu.edu.
